Bloq Quantum says its new enterprise assistant can convert high-level requirements into quantum code, parameterized circuits and QUBO models. The launch claims a faster workflow but reports no performance benchmarks

Bloq Quantum announced the commercial launch of Bloq Maya on October 13, 2026, describing it as an AI agent for enterprise quantum teams. The tool operates within the company's unified workspace and is designed to translate written descriptions of business problems into quantum algorithms, circuits and code. Bloq says the platform is live for use and includes a library of more than 15 ready-made algorithms, a visual circuit builder and an experimentation module. The launch was reported by The Quantum Insider.

Bloq Maya is presented as a conversational layer for moving from a high-level use case to a technical workflow. Its stated outputs include parameterized quantum circuits, or PQCs-circuits whose operations depend on adjustable parameters-and Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization (QUBO) models, which express optimization problems using binary variables and quadratic terms. The product description also lists custom quantum circuit generation, algorithm analysis and optimized code.

The platform's visual editor supports parameterized circuits, including feature maps and sequences of quantum gates. Bloq also describes its execution model as hardware-independent: code created in the workspace can be run on cloud simulators or physical quantum processors through providers including IBM Quantum and Amazon Braket. The company says the agent can automate environment configuration and algorithm construction.

Bloq identifies financial risk modeling, portfolio optimization, logistics and pharmaceutical modeling as potential application areas. These are target use cases for the product; the launch announcement does not describe a named customer deployment or results from those fields.

Bloq says Maya can help teams develop applied quantum algorithms up to 10 times faster. The company has also described the platform as cutting typical time and personnel requirements by roughly half. The launch materials do not provide the task sizes, baseline development times, comparison group or calculation method behind those estimates, so they are company claims rather than a reported industry benchmark.

The product is intended to help research and development teams move from problem formulation toward testing and execution. The launch information does not report a specific processor running Maya-generated circuits, a completed application result, a success rate for generated code or a comparison with classical optimization software. Its commercial availability therefore describes the status of the development tool, not a demonstration of quantum advantage or improved performance over classical methods.

The launch expands a software ecosystem that Bloq says includes a unified low-code algorithm platform, alongside workforce and education alliances. A separate tool described in a simulator report models errors in a 21-qubit system; Bloq Maya is described instead as an assistant for constructing algorithms, not as a simulator or quantum processor.

In quantum software, a parameterized circuit is a sequence of quantum operations whose adjustable settings can be tuned for a task. Generating such a circuit is one step in development: teams must also assess whether its mathematical model fits the problem, whether the selected hardware can run it and whether its output is reliable. Bloq Maya brings circuit construction, algorithm development and experimentation into one workspace, with performance claims that the company frames as a faster development workflow.
