Privacy and Personal Data

Reader data practices for contact, feedback and editorial correspondence.

Contact form data

When readers use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, message and consent choice submitted by the reader. We use this information to answer the message, investigate corrections, handle privacy requests and manage editorial correspondence.

Technical data

Standard server logs may include IP address, browser type, device information, referring page and request time. These records help keep the site secure, diagnose errors and understand general readership patterns.

Retention and rights

Editorial correspondence is retained only as long as needed for the request, legal record, correction trail or continuing conversation. Readers may request deletion or correction of personal data by writing to editorial@science.report.
